Coral Gables finally is starting a Bike Day — a family, cyclist, skater, pedestrian friendly event aimed at promoting healthy activities. The first one will be on Sunday, Oct. 23, on Miracle Mile and Ponce de Leon Boulevard. Admission: free. If you have never lived in or been to a city that closes the street for bikes, you don’t know what you’re missing.
Miracle Mile eastbound lanes and Ponce De Leon will be closed to auto traffic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as participants celebrate healthy activities and means of transportation within Coral Gables city limits.
