Instead of reporting on Mercedes Benz Swim Week, I will let my Miami Fashion Blogger friends handle that (I would just report on one pieces anyway) and I will focus on what I am most excited about this Monday…the fast approaching start to Miami Spice. I know Miami Swim is important…it helps pay my bills in a major way, but I have trouble getting excited about bikinis with my “thirties-something” figure, so I thought I would write about the thing that kinda gives me my “thirties-something figure.” Miami Spice runs from August 1, 2012 to September 30, 2012. The have a cool new feature this year, which is two tiers of spice menus, $39 menus and $33 menus. Click here to check it out. I sorted through all of the dinner menus and here are my picks a week early so you can make your reservations now…
Mr. Chow: Sunday – Thursday $39 dinner menu. Why I love it? Some of my faves are options on the menu including Mr. Chow noodles and Green Prawns. This is an amazing deal.
STK: Sunday – Thursday $39 Dinner menu. Why I love it? There is a foie gras ravioli as an appetizer option, but for me it is all about the dessert baby and this one is good…Strawberry and Rhubarb Shortcake (thank the Lord Bikini season is coming to a close!!!)
DB Bistro Moderne: Monday – Saturday. $39 Dinner menu. Why I love it? I already have my meal planned and can’t wait to eat it…Roasted Beet Salad, Quiche Lorraine and Chocolate Brownie with Dulce de Leche Ice Cream. (Yup a nice big middle finger to the summer diet!)
Mr. Collins: Monday – Friday $39 Dinner menu. Why I love it? Blue Crab Beignets and Short Ribs.
Hakkasan: Sunday – Thursday $39 Dinner menu. Why I love it? Options people…options. You get an appetizer, choice of soup, entree, rice and dessert.
Texas de Brazil. Sunday – Thursday $33 Dinner menu. Why I love it? This is hands down the best deal of Miami Spice. You get the amaze balls salad bar, sides for the table, their awesome cheesy bread, the entire selection of Churrascaria meats and a dessert for $33…this is a total food coma waiting to happen and I can’t wait!
Barceloneta Bistro. Sunday – Thursday $33 Dinner menu. Why I love it? Maybe it is because I lived in Barcelona for a bit, maybe it is because I have family there, or maybe it is because the food here is delish and the atmosphere is fun. They don’t have the menu up online, but this one is worth the gamble in my opinion.
