Shortcut to Fabulous Fresh Baked Goods and Family Fun

knausIt’s Miami Monday and Fabulosity in Miami cannot be discussed without mentioning the small German Baptist Family Farm in Homestead, Knaus Berry Farms. They have a bakery with fresh baked goods, including their infamous sticky buns, breadsticks and milkshakes. Everything is homemade with fresh ingredients. The Farm is only open to the public seasonally and last week the 2009/2010 season started. If you are like me, eighty degree weather in November and December can make it hard to get into the Christmas spirit. Well, a trip to this fun family farm can give you a much needed dose of holiday cheer and some unneeded, but oh-so-good baked goodies.

If you are thinking it is too far of a drive…you are wrong. On Saturday it is about a 30 to 40 minute drive from Coral Gables. There are pony rides and a fruit and spice park nearby as well as Monkey Jungle. Besides, I can’t think of a better way to create a warm weather holiday tradition than an annual trip to this fun family farm.
